Terms of Service
Effective date: 5 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Gilbert Turkson, trading as Qwenturo, Accra, Ghana ("Qwenturo", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Qwenturo, you agree to them. If you use Qwenturo for a business, you confirm that you are allowed to agree on its behalf, and "you" includes that business.
1. The service
Qwenturo is a web app for recording sales, stock, expenses, customers, credit, deliveries and funds, and for producing analytics and reports. We may improve, change or remove features over time.
2. Who can use it
You must be 18 or older and able to enter a binding agreement.
3. Your account and your team
- You sign in with Google or a one-time email code. Keep access to your email and Google account secure, because that is how you access Qwenturo.
- Owners can invite team members as managers or cashiers, and can make a team member an owner once they have joined. You are responsible for what your team does in your store, and for removing people who should no longer have access.
- Tell us at hello@qwenturo.com if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission. You can also sign out of every device from the app.
4. Your data belongs to you
- You own the business records you put into Qwenturo.
- You give us permission to store, process and display them only to provide the service to you, including backups, security and support.
- We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or claim any ownership of it.
- You can ask for a copy of all your records, or close your store, at any time by emailing hello@qwenturo.com. Self-service buttons for both are coming to the app.
5. Your responsibilities
You agree:
- to enter information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge;
- to collect and record personal data about your customers, suppliers and staff lawfully, and to tell them what you collect and why, as Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), or the law of your own country, requires;
- to meet your own legal obligations as a business, including registering with Ghana's Data Protection Commission where the law requires it;
- not to record "special personal data" (such as health, religion, ethnic origin or criminal records) in Qwenturo;
- not to misuse the service: no attempts to access other people's accounts or stores, to break or overload the service, or to use it for anything illegal or fraudulent.
6. When we process personal data for you (data processing terms)
When your store contains personal data about other people (for example your customers' names and phone numbers), you are the data controller and Qwenturo is your data processor. These terms are the written contract between us for that processing. We will:
- process that data only to provide the service to you, following your instructions given through the app and these terms;
- keep it confidential, and ensure anyone who processes it on our behalf is bound to do the same;
- maintain appropriate technical and organisational security measures, as described in our Privacy Policy, section 7;
- use only the service providers listed in the Privacy Policy, section 5, and tell you before adding new ones;
- notify you without undue delay if we become aware of a security breach affecting it;
- help you respond to requests from people exercising their rights, where we reasonably can;
- delete it when your store is closed, after the 30-day grace period, and from backups within a further 30 days; and
- not disclose it to anyone else unless the law requires it.
7. AI features
Some features use AI (provided by DeepSeek) to answer questions about your figures and to write report commentary. These features receive only anonymised figures, never the names or contact details of people or your business.
AI answers can be wrong. They are general information, not financial, accounting, tax or legal advice. Check important decisions against your own records and, where needed, a qualified adviser.
8. Figures and reports
Qwenturo's figures and reports are calculated from the records you enter. They are only as accurate as those records. They are not audited accounts, and they are not a substitute for professional accounting or tax advice.
9. Price
Qwenturo is free during early access. We may introduce paid plans later. If we do, we will tell you at least 30 days in advance, and you will never be charged without agreeing to it first.
10. Availability and backups
We work to keep Qwenturo available and your data safe, including protection against data loss. However, the service is provided "as is" and "as available": we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors. We recommend keeping your own copies of important records; you can ask us for a full copy at any time.
11. Closing a store, suspension and ending these terms
- You can close your store at any time (for now, by emailing hello@qwenturo.com). It can be restored within 30 days; after that, its data is permanently deleted, as described in the Privacy Policy.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts other users or the service at risk, or where the law requires it. Where reasonable, we will warn you first and give you a chance to download your records.
- We may stop offering Qwenturo. If we do, we will give you at least 30 days' notice so you can download your records.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost revenue or lost business opportunities;
- our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50 (or its equivalent in your currency) if you paid nothing.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including your rights under Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will update the effective date above, and for significant changes we will tell account holders by email or in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. If you keep using Qwenturo after that, you accept the new terms.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana. If a dispute arises, we will first try to resolve it with you in good faith. If that fails, the courts of Ghana will decide it.
